Ifirma.pl, the online accountancy platform for very small business partnered with "Microentrepreneur of the year 2009" contest. The contest was organized by City Handlowy's Kronenberg Foundation.
The awards showcase successful small companies in order to spur entrepreneurs to start their own business. Companies taking part employ less than 10 people and their turnover is below 2 mln euro.
The 5th awards ceremony took place in the Warsaw Stock Exchange building on 25th June. This year's winner out of 247 contestants is Nexwell Engineering from Wroclaw, won the title of Microentrepreneur of the year 2009 and was awarded with 30 000 Polish zloty (PLN). The winner was awarded for an idea on business, creativity and courage in taking bold decisions and ability to overcome obstacles.
The awards also featured a presentation of the report on ‘Microentrepreneur in Poland. Analyzes on barriers in development and access to financing’, that summarized results of findings on economic situation of the smallest companies in Poland. Joanna Zalewska, ifirma.pl manager, took part in panel discussion on the report.
